Organic Ingredients, Inc. traces its roots back more than 20 years to a time when co-founder John Battendieri produced his first batch of organic apple juice. Soon afterwards John began selling organic industrial ingredients, and formulating a vast array of branded organic products. More recently John has teamed up with Organic Ingredients' co-founder Joseph Stern whose roots also go back more than 20 years into the natural and organic food industry, when he was a wholesale supplier on the east coast and founded Earthly Organics, Inc., which later was sold to Cornucopia Natural Foods. Since then Organic Ingredients has positioned itself into one of the world's leading suppliers of premium quality, certified organic fruit and vegetable ingredients and vinegars.Organic Ingredients has earned a reputation for the highest quality ingredients, competitive prices, full services and reliability. Our customer base includes some of the most reputable manufacturers in the natural food industry, both nationally and internationally.
Organic Ingredients is the exclusive supplier of a certified organic fruit sweetener made from vine-ripened, organically grown white grapes grown in California's fertile Central Valley. Processed in a certified organic facility, this product is presently used by some of the industry's largest organic baby food, beverage, cereal, yogurt, jam, jelly and baked goods manufacturers. Apple and pear juice concentrates are also available. New in 1998 we are introducing raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and blackberry juice concentrates as well as various vegetable juice concentrates and a new line of citrus single strength juices and juice concentrates.
Organic Ingredients is also a leading supplier of certified organic apple cider vinegar. This raw unfiltered product is being included in a variety of successful, value-added, organic food items and is being sold as a commodity under a number of different brand names. We also offer a light colored cider vinegar for industrial applications and filtered cider vinegar is available by special order. Being introduced in 1998 is a new organic white wine vinegar and balsamic vinegar.
Also being introduced, new this year, is a complete line of organic citrus products including NFC (not from concentrate) juices, concentrates, oils, pulps and essences of orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit.
To round out our product line, we offer a variety of certified organic frozen fruit products. Our current offerings include apple, apricot, pear, peach, kiwi, strawberry, blackberry and raspberry purees as well as IQF, straight pack, block frozen strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. This year we have introduced an all organic V-8 type Juice Blend as well as a line of IQF vegetables, vegetable purees and vegetable juice concentrates.
